Structured Lace

Even though I still have yet to find the perfect LWD, this lace dress has been one of my favorite go-to dresses and will suffice until I stumble upon a little white dress. I particularly love combining soft feminine pieces with more structured pieces, the combination of the two make for a polished look. Also I finally tried out Nars lipstick in Heat Wave, and it is already one of my favorite red lipsticks.

Given it's Memorial Day weekend, it's only necessary to start switching out the little black dress for the ultimate summer staple, the little white dress. As it gets warmer, it seems to be the perfect essential to throw on for an evening with friends or for running around town. I wanted to share a few of my favorite looks that i'm currently getting inspired by.

White Striped Denim

After traveling last weekend, I wanted nothing more than a jeans and t shirt kind of weekend filled with lazy mornings, an endless amount of chai tea, and a good book. This past weekend I wore this for a lunch outing and even though my denim vest is an old denim jacket that I cut the sleeves off of, it is easily my favorite summer essential. I'm looking forward to wearing it with a white cotton dress and gladiator heels. What is your favorite piece for summer?
